Centered by a seated female figure atop an ionic column, adorned with a headdress and necklace, the frame highlighted with black, red, green and blue enamel applied in geometric patterns, set with rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately .50 carat, with a blue satin bag and strap, frame numbered 3496, with French assay marks; circa 1920.

Condition

In good condition overall with evidence of minor discoloration and scratching to the gold commensurate with age. The enamel is intact and presents a subtle imitation of gemstones. The diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. Bag of later addition. Bag opens by sliding the female figure to the right. With a satin change purse included inside the bag. Measures approximately 6½ by 6½ by 1¾ inches; strap length approximately 13 inches. A figure of similar design on a bag attributed to the Duval Workshop is illustrated in Masterpieces of French Jewelry by Judith Price, page 53.
