The guilloché-enameled links suspending 11 charms depicting: a love barometer, a man wearing a red hat, a French poodle, a black cat, a white tree, an owl in a night sky, a victory charm, a white elephant, a woman in a red dress, a Christmas tree, and a man in a white uniform, length 7 inches, three charms signed Cartier: the white tree signed Cartier N.Y., the owl signed Cartier N.Y. and the reverse inscribed 'La Nuit Porte Conseil,' the white elephant signed Cartier N.Y., numbered 1621; circa 1920.

Condition

In good condition. Some minor enamel loss to the French poodle, the man wearing a red hat, and the woman in a red dress, light scratching to the enamelwork on a few other charms but otherwise intact. An owl charm of similar design is illustrated in The Cartier Collection: Jewelry by François Chaille, page 252. Although unsigned, the cat charm inscribed 'Ou J'entre Le Bonheur Me Suit,' is identical in design to many charms signed Cartier.
