Platinum, Sapphire and Diamond Brooch and Ring

The bar brooch set with three cabochon sapphires weighing approximately 4.50 carats accented by single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats; together with a ring centered by a cabochon sapphire weighing approximately 3.00 carats, flanked by round and calibré-cut emeralds and sapphires, the mounting further set with round diamonds, size 8, one diamond missing; circa 1920.

Both pieces in good overall condition. BROOCH: Evidence of discoloration to the gold pin, commensurate with age. The cabochon sapphires are a medium-deep slightly violetish blue and very lightly included. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS clarity. Fine detailing and millegrain work throughout. Fitted with a safety latch and length approximately 2 1/2 inches. RING: The sapphire is loose in the mounting but secure, and the shank is very slightly worn due to age. The cabochon sapphire is medium-deep violetish blue and lightly included. One diamond missing, the diamonds are near-colorless and decorative in quality. The calibré-cut emeralds are medium-light slightly bluish green and moderately to heavily included. The calibré-cut sapphires are deep blue and lightly included.
