Set with a cushion-cut diamond weighing 5.70 carats and a cushion-cut ruby weighing 10.28 carats, the mounting decorated with old European and single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.05 carats, size 6ΒΌ; circa 1915.

Condition

In good condition, with minor wear to the mounting commensurate with age. Evidence of sizing. The ruby is a medium-deep purplish red, moderately included with several surface-reaching inclusions including one extending from the crown to the pavillion at one corner. There are several surface reaching fractures, including one on the underside of the stone that runs the length of the ruby. The smaller diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Intricately detailed work to the mounting. Accompanied by GIA report no. 2155606678 stating that the diamond is E color, VS1 clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 56435 stating that the ruby of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
