The black satin purse suspending a tassel thumbpiece decorated with a fluted rock crystal bead and supporting numerous pearl strands, set with old European and rose-cut diamonds weighing approximately 3.25 carats, measuring approximately 8¾ by 5¼ inches, signed Cartier Paris, Londres, New York, numbered 0763, with French assay and maker's mark, one pearl strand missing; circa 1925.

In good condition overall. Light scratching to the enamelling on the frame. The black satin is very lighltly picked in a few places. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Pearls are egg-shaped with very good luster and a creamy golden hue. One short strand of pearls missing. Interior finished in ivory satin interior with 4 pockets.
