Comprising a bracelet, locket-brooch, pendant bail and a pair of earrings, centering porcelain plaques with various female silhouettes highlighted in multi-colored enamel, decorated with dramatic scrollwork flourishes, further set with colored stones, diamonds and pearls, mounted in silver and gold, bracelet length 7ΒΌ inches, bracelet with maker's mark; early 19th century. Together with the original earring wires (not illustrated).

Condition

All pieces in good condition, particularly considering their age, with fine detailing to the metalwork throughout. BRACELET: Very minor enamel loss, not evident when worn. The rubies are a medium, lively purplish red, lightly included with some abrading to the facet junctions. The emeralds and sapphires are decorative in quality. The diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. The off-round to button-shaped pearls have a silvery to silvery-white body color, fair to poor luster, with several showing blemished skins under magnification. Maker's mark on the underside of the female end of the clasp. LOCKET-BROOCH: Very minor enamel loss to the central plaque, not readily visible. The colored stones are decorative in quality; the diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. The baroque button pearl has a significantly wrinkled skin, poor luster. The glass covered back is hinged to allow for use as a locket. PENDANT BAIL: The colored stones are decorative in quality; the diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. Stamped 870 on the reverse. EARRINGS: Very minor loss to the enamelled young boy and girl, visible only under magnification. The colored stones are decorative in quality. The diamonds are near colorless and decorative in quality. Fitted with screwbacks. Please note that the pearls have not been tested for natural origin.
