Comprising a gold frame terminating in a pig's head and curled tail, the body formed of gold mesh, suspending four articulated gold legs, gross weight approximately 92 dwts, numbered 317 and 11738, with French assay and workshop marks; circa 1900.

Condition
In good condition. Measures approximately 5½ by 3 inches, chain 8 inches. Stamped Déposé in script on the interior. Partially numbered 317, not 217 as noted in the printed catalogue. The gold mesh is very fine and flexible and the legs move at the joints when the purse is moved. Very well-made.
