Description

Centered by a cushion-cut alexandrite measuring approximately 9.5 by 9.1 by 5.0 mm, framed by old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.40 carats, mounted in rhodium-plated gold, size 6½; circa 1915.

Condition

In good condition, with the shank slightly out-of-round. The alexandrite changes from a medium dark brownish green to a medium dark brown-pink, strong color change, eye-clean with some minor abrading to the facet junctions. The diamonds are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 56522 stating that the alexandrite is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of treatment.
