Composed of a strand of six hundred and thirty variously sized natural pearls, measuring from approximately 2.80 to 8.65mm, length approximately 343cm.

Provenance

Jewels from the Collection of Odile de Richelieu, Countess Gabriel de La Rochefoucauld, Princess de La Rochefoucauld (1879-1974).

Condition

Additionally accompanied by a 'Service Public du Contrôle des diamants, perles fines, pierres précieuses de la Chambre de Commerce et d'Industrie de Paris' report no. A27.871, dated 12 December 1984, stating that the 630 pearls weighing 714.03 carats (2856.12 grains) are natural pearls. Also accompanied by the original clay guarantee stamps which sealed the strand tested by the Parisian laboratory in 1984. According to the SSEF report, the pearls measuring from approximately 2.80 to 8.65 mm, white to cream, partly with rosé and green overtones, are natural, saltwater, pearls varying in size and shape ranging from round to roundish, oval, drop- and button-shaped; some with typical pearl blemishes not visible when worn, with very good skin and lustre. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 143 grams.
