Catalogue Note

Fancy coloured diamond connoisseurs understand the rarity and value of blue diamonds. It is difficult to find diamonds of this hue without some measure of grey or violet. According to the GIA, only 0.3% of coloured diamonds submitted to their laboratory for examination are purely blue, regardless of their colour saturation. Given this statistic, a saturated true blue diamond such as this present stone is extremely rare.
