Description

One lipstick holder applied with black lacquer, embellished with a polished coral disk highlighted with a circular-cut diamond, measuring approximately 58 x 15 x 13mm, signed Cartier, Paris, numbered, French assay and maker's mark, circa 1935, fitted case stamped Cartier; the other lipstick holder with four bevelled mirrors of rose tint, the edges highlighted with black lacquer, measuring approximately 50 x 18 x 18mm, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and maker's mark, circa 1930, pouch.

Black enamel in good condition, with light scratches and two minor nicks consistent with age and use. Coral with typical faint white banding. Diamond bright and lively. Mechanism to move lipstick up, by way of the coral dial, could benefit from the attention of a professional jeweler. Gross weight approximately 53 grams. Fitted case stamped Cartier PARIS, 13 Rue de la Paix, LONDON, 175 New Bond St., NEW YORK, 653 5th Avenue. Lipstick holder with mirrors signed Cartier and numbered 114, French maker's marks and assay marks for gold. Mirrors with come scratches, consistent with age and use. Black lacquer in good condition, with a few minor scratches consistent with age and use. Mechanism to move lipstick up and down in working order. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 60 grams. Black suede case stamped Cartier.
