The ring centring on a cabochon ruby, to shoulders embellished with circular- and single-cut diamonds, size 50, partial French assay mark; the tapered bracelet with alternating bands of cabochon rubies and circular-, single-cut and baguette diamonds, signed Rood, length approximately 165mm.

Condition

Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain rubies of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Ring with partial French maker's mark. Cabochon ruby measuring approximately 19.05 x 15.80 x 7.15 mm, calculated to weigh approximately 23.00 carats, as gauged in mounting; red with strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, several surface reaching, an open cavity close to girdle edge. Diamonds bright and lively. Signs of normal wear to the metal, slight tarnish consistent with age and use. In good condition. Bracelet signed Rood. Rubies well matched in colour, with medium strong saturation, with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, some nicks, chips and abrasions. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.00 - 6.00 carats, on average G-I colour, VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Clasp secure, safety catch. Signs of wear to metal consistent with light use. In good condition. Total gross weight of two pieces approximately 48 grams.
