Centring on an octagonal-shaped amethyst, within a foliate enamel frame accented to the cardinal points with enamel and glass anemone flower heads, signed Lalique, detachable brooch pin to reverse.

Condition

Signed LALIQUE to side of frame. Mounted in yellow gold. Amethyst measuring approximately 23.80 x 23.80 x 16.50 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 56.90 carats, as gauged in mounting, it is of deep purple colour with good clarity, minor scratches, nicks and abrasions, one small chip to table facet. A little loss to the enamel frame. One glass flower head cracked in two through middle. Two hooks to reverse at top and bottom, possibly for attachment to a larger jewel; brooch pin detachable. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 31 grams.
