Set to the centre with a cushion-shaped sapphire, within a cluster of marquise-shaped and circular-cut diamonds, signed Van Cleef & Arpels and numbered, French assay and indistinct maker's mark, clip/brooch and pendant fittings to reverse.
Condition
Stamped with French assay marks and 750 for 18 carat gold. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels on brooch fitting, maker's mark, numbered 8558. Sapphire estimated to measure approximately 21.95 x 18.65 x 11.00 mm and estimated to weigh approximately 37.70 carats, with few typical crystal inclusions visible under close inspection. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 5.50 carats, on average of H-J colour and VS-SI clarity, as gauged and graded in mounting. One brooch pin secured by sliding safety catch. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use, minor solder marks to the reverse of the pendant hook. In good condition.
