JADEITE AND DIAMOND PENDANT

Of openwork design, set with a jadeite plaque of translucent light emerald green colour, carved with floral and bird motifs, decorated by tapered baguette and brilliant-cut diamonds together weighing approximately 1.80 carats, mounted in 14 karat yellow and white gold.

Colour and Clarity: According to the jadeite certificate, the carved jadeite pendant is natural, type "A" jadeite. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, the carved jadeite pendant is translucent, of medium apple green colour to the front and deep celadon tone on the reverse. Upon illumination, there are clouds. Diamonds together weighing approximately 1.80 carats, are about H to J colours, VS clarity. Condition: The jadeite carving is probably dated back to Republican period, with minor surface abrasions upon loupe check, consistent with its age and not seen to naked eyes. Karat white and yellow gold mount, signs of normal wear to the metal, overall in good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
