JADEITE 'VASE' ORNAMENT, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

The translucent jadeite of deep green colour suffused with celadon tone, carved as a vase with magpies and flower motifs, symbolising happiness and joy, the bottle cap linked to the bottle neck with a carved jadeite chain.

Colour and Clarity: According to the jadeite certificate, the jadeite vase is natural, type "A" jadeite. Please refer to the certificate for details. In our opinion, the jadeite vase is translucent, of slightly deep green colour, suffused with a few celadon and light amber patches. The chain connected the vase to stopper has very good translucency, of mostly celadon hue. Upon close look, there are a few cloud patches, not affected the overall visual beauty. Condition: Very fine and delicate craftsmanship, dated back to probably the early Republican period, overall in good condition. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment.
