Catalogue Note

Offprint issue, presentation copy of Freud's autobiographical account of his role in the development of psychoanalysis, inscribed to his fellow analyst and friend Oskar Pfister (1873-1956). This is the first offprint edition, with the printed note "Nicht im Handel" (not for sale) and inscribed "Seinem leben Dr O. Pfister, Freud, 12.2.25" on upper wrapper. Also signed and annotated by Pfister.
