Catalogue Note

A standard source for the early history of the American Revolution in the southern theatre, largely derived from material Drayton inherited from his father, who was a member of the South Carolina Committee of Safety as well as of its provisional government and later served in the Continental Congress. One of the maps shows Forts Sullivan and Moultrie.
