Both volumes browned and stained throughout, lacks errata leaf, marginal tears to vol. 2 title-page and on pages 27, 297, and 331 touching several lines of text.  Contemporary beige cloth; worn, traces of labels on upper covers, rebacked, endpapers browned and stained. Quarter tan morocco slipcase, beige cloth chemise.
