Catalogue Note
A fine association copy from Monroe's library. The contents of the volume center on the writings of La Révellière-Lépeaux, and include manuscript annotations on his works bound in at the end of the volume. Monroe had a warm and long friendship with him, which probably began when Monroe was Minister to France (1794–1796) and La Révellière-Lépeaux was President of the French Directory.
