Usual light foxing to title-page, minor foxing and some spotting, chiefly marginal, offsetting in the shape of a woman's dress affecting text along top gutter of pp. 258–259.  Publisher's blind-stamped and ruled brown "A" cloth, spine lettered gilt, orange-coated endpapers; very minor tears to foot of spine. Overall, a fine fresh copy.  Dark red cloth chemise and slipcase, crimson morocco spine.
