8vo (189 x 125mm.), 3 volumes, first edition, half-titles, 2 pages of publisher's advertisements at the end of volume 1, original dark blue-green morocco cloth lettered and decorated in black on upper covers and lettered in gilt on the spines, pale yellow endpapers, preserved in quarter-brown morocco folding box (by the Lakeside Press, Chicago), minor discoloration from endpapers offset onto blank leaves before titles, some very minor marginal staining to a few leaves of gathering F in volume 2, still a very fine copy
