Condition

Both of these pictures seem to be unrestored. The cracking to both paintings is extremely noticeable. The only way to improve or eliminate the cracking is to line the canvases. If the canvases were lined, the current strainers would no longer be effective. The paintings look dirty, but although it seems that they will clean easily, it may be that the dirt layer has been intentionally applied to provide a patina of age. Given that the charm and original feeling of these pictures would be greatly altered by lining and cleaning, neither process is recommended.
