Condition
This work is unlined and well stretched. Carringtons typically smooth finish has developed some cracks, which is certainly not unusual, but there is no instability. The paint layer is clean. There are no structural issues. There is one small break in the canvas in the upper center right about 2 inches from the right edge, but there does not appear to be any retouching here. There is an arc-shaped scrape to the paint layer in the sky above the left side of the half-moon shape, which has received a few tiny retouches. The condition seems extremely good throughout the remainder of the work.
