Condition
This painting has been restored fairly recently. The canvas is lined. There is quite a thick varnish on the surface which is not original. There are a few retouches in the waist of the figure on the right and in a few other isolated spots. Ideally, one would try to remove the heavy varnish, but the work could also be hung in its current state.
