This plate is from a series of ritual plates featuring scenes inspired by the paintings of Moritz Daniel Oppenheim (1799-1882). A commissioned collection of twenty of these plates was published in Chronicle of Jewish Traditions: A Sentimental Journey, Yeshiva University Museum, March 8, 1992.
