Condition
The canvas is loose in its frame on the lower right corner. The upper right corner is slightly wavy. There are two horizontal folds in the center of the canvas along the stretcher. There is light scattered paintloss in the lower left corner amid craquelure in the same area. There is hairline horizontal craquelure throughout the work. Ultraviolet light reveals a handfull of scattered spots of retouching, in the lower corners, the center of the upper edge and on the forhead of the figure.
