Condition

Pen and ink, charcoal and gouache highlights on paper. The sheet is glued along the top edge to the current mount. Top, right and left edges are deckled; bottom edge machine cut. Surface dirt. Handling creases. Glue stains at lower corners. A few very minor pin-point sized spots of discoloration. Verso: There is an incomplete pencil sketch, inscribed indistinctly (lower center) and “no. 22” (upper right). Watermark clearly visible along bottom edge: Vidalon-les-Annonay. Surface dirt. Handling creases. Discolorations at extreme upper right edge and upper right corner. In overall fair condition.
