Condition
Watercolor over charcoal on paper. The edges are slightly uneven and bumped throughout, especially the upper edge. Light and mat stain. Artist's pinholes visible in lower corners. Minor spots of discoloration, especially in the sky.
Verso: Indistinctly inscribed in another hand ** 1.989 ** M. Waafelt / 20 rue du Caron (lower right corner). Top edge of the sheet is an upside-down sketch of rooftops and a portico'd porch. Remnants of an old label along left egde. Old tape from previous matting at top and bottom edge. Minor abrasions. Surface dirt.
