Condition

The canvas is not lined. A close inspection reveals some minor frame abrasion along the edges, notably along the lower edge towards the corners, which is not visible when framed. There is some minor craquelure in the pale purple pigment above the center of the composition and in the dark pigment of the left-hand tree with some very minor associated lifting that appears to be stable. Examination under UV light reveals some scattered small spots of retouching along the edges and in the lower right quadrant. There are two small horizontal lines of inpainting in the dark pigment of the left-hand tree and three small spots in the brown pigment of the background in the upper left quadrant. This work is in overall good condition.
