Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down. The sheet is fixed to the overmount at the four corners and in the center of the upper and lower edges. The edges are slightly irregular and there are faint stains from an old mount visible on the reverse. A close inspection reveals some disturbance to the surface of the paint on the church spire which is possibly inherent to the artistic process and some very minor shrinkage in the blue pigment of the uppr right bird. Apart from some time-darkenening and faint scattered spots of foxing, this work is in very good condition.
