Condition

This painting is unlined and still stretched on its original stretcher. The tacking edges have been reinforced to allow for proper stretching. There are no reinforcements on the reverse. The paint layer is cleaned and very lightly varnished. There are no damages to the paint layer and no visible retouches. The work should be hung as is. The above condition report has been prepared by Simon Parkes, an independent conservator who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
