Condition

This work is in very good original condition. The canvas is not lined. A close inspection reveals some old frame abrasion, mostly along the upper and lower edges (not visible when framed). The canvas is slightly domed (rounded) at one point along the lower edge. A close inspection reveals some stable hairline shrinkage to the figure's face and a small group of fly spots towards the center of the upper edge. Under UV light: there are no visible signs of retouching (although there is a thin line of red fluorescence along the extreme edges where the preparatory ground is visible).
