Condition

The work is executed on a military postcard (cream wove paper). The sheet is affixed to a window mat along the top and bottom edges. The verso is inscribed. Minor skinning to the upper edge is present on verso. One tiny surface nick at the center of the composition is present and the paper is slightly faded overall. The work is in very good condition. The present letter translates as follows: Being unable to find new post cards in the country I felt it so hopeless I made my own. Allow me to send you the first of the series. It is a little cubist but there’s nothing I can do, that is how I see things (it’s a landscape with two soldiers (see if you can find the soldiers!))
