Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is an extremely uneven varnish which causes some areas to fluoresce and which prevents the UV light from fully penetrating. UV examination does, however, reveal a few small spots and lines of retouching to the horizon point. There are some fine lines of stable slightly raised craquelure in places. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue.
