Condition
The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some old retouchings to the upper centre of the sky and the strengthening of the 'Bou' of the signature and 'Rotterdam' of the inscription. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places and a faint stretcher bar line along the upper edge. The work has been selectively cleaned; the pale blues of the water in the sky. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Fairly accurate in the pritned catalogue, though overall warmer in the original.
