Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a repaired tear to the right-hand boat with some associated retouching, visible under UV light. UV examination reveals some further tiny spots of retouching along the left and right extreme edges and a few minor specks in places. There are some fine lines of stable craquelure, mainly to the lighter pigments in the sky. Otherwise, this work is in good stable condition.
