Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals an area of retouching to the right part of the lower edge, where the work is signed. There is some stable paint shrinkage in places, mainly to the white pigments. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though slightly lighter and the pastel shades more delicate in the original.
