Condition
The canvas is not lined. There is some minor paint loss along the frame rebate in the top left and right corners and lower right corner. There is retouching along the top edge of the painting. There is a vertical line of retouching approximately 4cm. in length in the house to the left of the composition, there is a further area of retouching to a repair to a tear approx 3cm. by 1cm. to the left of the house, and a further line of retouching to the left-hand edge.
There is retouching in the centre of the composition, a line of approx. 5cm. in length, and a further smaller area of retouching to the left of this repair.
There are a couple of smaller scatterings of retouching visible by UV inspection. This painting has recently had a light clean and new varnish.
Overall, this work is in good condition.
