Condition

The canvas is not lined. There is an approximately 3cm-long repaired tear to the centre of the canvas with some associated retouching, and a further smaller retouching to the left of the repaired tear, visible under UV light. UV examination reveals a further few small retouchings in places, mainly to the lower right quadrant. There is a visible faint stretcher bar line running vertically down the left edge. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition and has recently had a light clean and new varnish.
