Condition

The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals some scattered small spots and lines of retouching in places, most of which are away from the central composition. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places and a pin-sized hole to the upper left corner. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition and the work has a lovely varied, worked surface. Colours: failrly accurated in the printed catalogue, though the pinks are slightly darker in the original.
