Condition
The canvas is not lined and UV examination does not reveal any evidence of retouching. There is a tiny paint loss to the lower left corner and one to the centre of the extreme lower edge. There are some very fine lines of craquelure in places and some paint shrinkage to some of the white and blue pigments. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition.
Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though there is much more warmth and definition to her face in the original.
