Condition
Painted on canvasboard. The board is stable and there do not appear to be any signs of retouching visible under UV light. There are some extremely minor fine lines of craquelure to some of the white pigments. Otherwise, this work is in overall very good condition and has a lovely rich impasto surface in places.
Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the face is slightly warmer in the original.
