Condition
Oil on paper laid down on the artist's board. UV examination reveals a few scattered spots of retouching to the sky and in places to the sea, towards the centre of the lower half of the composition. There are artist's pinholes at the the upper left and lower right corners. The surface is varied, and there are a few fine lines of paint shrinkage and craquelure visible on the thickly applied paint to the sky. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the sky is slightly more blue in the original.
