Condition

The canvas is not lined and there is a rich impasto surface to the hat. There are two small repaired tears (one to the upper part of her left arm, and the other to her right thigh) with some associated retouchings visible under UV light. UV examination reveals some further small spots and lines of retouching in places, mainly to the upper part of the extreme left edge. There are some fine lines of craquelure in places. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
