Condition
Painted on paper laid down on canvas. There is a layer of varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate, though UV examination does reveal some small spots and thin lines of retouching to parts of the extreme upper edge and a further few tiny specks of retouching to the left part of the lower edge. There are a few tiny repaired tears to the lower edge and a vertical 3cm-long crease to the lower left edge. The work very slightly undulates at the upper left corner and two lower corners. Otherwise this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: Overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though slightly brighter in the original.
