Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, hinged to the mount at the upper two corners and floating in the overmount. The left edge is serrated and the extreme edge is slightly uneven. There are some gentle undulations to the sheet and there is a diagonal crease running from the upper left corner to the centre of the paper, visible in the catalogue illustration. There are some artist's marks and some foxing towards the lower left corner, away from the image. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. There is a sketch of a seated lady on the reverse. Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though the papertone is slightly less pink in the original.
