Condition
The canvas is not lined. UV examination reveals intermittent lines of retouching along the extreme left edge. There is some minor frame rubbing to the extreme upper edge with an associated tiny paint loss. There is some stable paint shrinkage in places, mainly to the upper right corner of the lower left quadrant and some extremely fine lines of craquelure in the same area. The canvas is very slightly undulated along the left edge and lower right corner, and there is a faint stretcher mark across the centre of the canvas. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.
Colours: overall fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though slightly pinker and more saturated in the original.
