Condition

Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down, affixed to the mount intermittently along all four edges. There is a very thin line of faint mount-staining to the extreme edges, and some small nicks and repaired tears to the exteme edges. There is a soft 7cm-long horizontal crease to the centre of the left edge and some scattered foxing in places, mainly to the centre of the sheet. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition.

In 1972-73, Miró worked on a series of large format etchings with aquatint, which were published by Sala Gaspar in 1973 in a portfolio called Barcelona. The present work is a preparatory drawing for the last etching of the series.
