Condition

The canvas is lined. UV light examination reveals a few scattered spots of retouching, mainly to the sky and to the extreme edges (to address prior frame abrasion). There are two further spots just towards the centre of the composition and a hairline stroke at the lower centre in the water. Otherwise, this work is in overall good condition. Colours: fairly accurate in the printed catalogue, though overall slightly brighter in the original.
